Extremely common! These guys take care of any acorns lying around. The eat seeds from many trees, including dogwood trees and maple trees. They also eat seeds from pine cones. You have to be careful about what kind of bird feeder you set up, however. The best kind is on a pole, in an open area, with an inverted funnel on the pole as a squirrel guard.
